I can beat that... have you seen the size of modern cruise ships?

Do you know how many spaceships I could build with that much steel? That could go to the asteroids and bring back useful stuff?

Incidentally, most of those cars run on alcohol. Which is also very expensive and even more energy-inefficient, but I'm just sayin'.

true, most, but not all. formula one and nascar is still gasoline. dragsters are nitro. indy cars are methanol.

there was a grand prix race this past week i watched. it made me think about the things we spend money on for entertainment which should probably be conserved at certain points.

granted, it will never happen.
