landmarks

when making the drive from los angeles to san diego and back, i have established landmarks.

let's see...

palomar airport road - 100 miles to home
immigration checkpoint - 78 miles to home
route 73 toll road - 60 miles to home
route 22 - 40 miles to home
the citadel - 16 miles to home

i have been told by strider that after awhile i will have names for dips in the road, as well as certain curves and freeway junctions. if i keep up with the necessity of driving down two or more times a month for con meetings, no doubt i shall.

i think the gods took pity on me for having to make the trek by allowing me to live less than a mile from where i work. otherwise, i shudder to think what the mileage and wear on the car would be.

great minds

been working with strider on the loj flyer. proofread the final design last night.

i find it most amusing that the garb worn is a near identical match to the costume i designed for strider last year, but which he rejected in favour of something else. colours and everything match what i had wanted to do.

go figure! chris and i think exactly alike... sweet!

now if i could only convince him to allow me to make such a coat. hmmmm...

an experiment

just posted some items to sell on craigslist. i am wondering if there is a market or not for mint-in-box action figures from the 1990s. well, time will tell. i have over 8 cases of them i would like to off for pretty damn cheap.

if i don't receive a response, i shall make someone very happy the next time they are wandering through a thrift store. i am selling so cheap, i am willing to simply give all of them to a thrift store just to be done with them.

now off to write a posting to sell off the 5 disc cd player and the stereo.

must clean out more of the accumulated crap. looking towards moving again within the next three months, if not sooner. preferrably sooner... rate increase for movers on may 21st per the P.U.C.
