elessa: (tigre)
i saw tigre yesterday.

i was taking a nap laying on my side facing the window. he jumped onto the bed,
indelicately walked over me as usual and sat down on the edge of the bed in front of me.

i felt the bed move from him jumping up behind me and the pressure of him walking over my side and legs. i opened my eyes. i saw him sitting there looking at me. i reached over to pet him.

he vanished.

this pic was taken sunday, september 14th in galveston, texas. i don't know about where you are living, but gasoline is selling near me for $3.69/gal. i know from talking to my brother earlier today gasoline in los angeles is over $4/gal for regular.

so... how the hell is it they are only paying $2.09/gal? don't tell me that the hurricane blew off all the numbers for higher pricing. i don't buy it.

after looking at pics of the destruction in texas and louisiana i have to wonder a few things. namely, in addition to mortgage and financial giants collapsing, will we now see insurance companies also fail due to the claims? will insurance companies now pull out of the states which are mainly affected by hurricanes in order to preserve their bottom lines? is the economy going to continue to descend into the abyss?

rhetorically, what else can go wrong?
