tis a season for saying "thanks"
Nov. 19th, 2008 03:09 pmthanks to
grovesphoto for this now that the season is fast upon us:
When you are making out your Christmas card list this year, please include the following:
A Recovering American Soldier
c/o Walter Reed Army Medical Center
6900 Georgia Avenue,NW
Washington,D.C. 20307-5001
For a couple of bucks and a stamp, you make someone's day really special.
you may not agree with the reason why these folk are at walter reed or the administration that sent them, but they do deserve to be recognised for their service. i am an army brat and ex-navy wife. i hate the middle east action, but i support the troops.
it really helps to brighten someone's day to receive a real piece of mail. help them decorate their surroundings with cards they can put up in their hospital room.
who knows, you could make a new friend by reaching out to say "thanks".
