starving bears eat russian guards

apparently man has so depleted and nearly eradicated the salmon runs in russia the hungry bears have started eating man.

unfortunately this means man will now hunt and kill the bears for being hungry due to man not being a proper steward of the land. there is a known population fo 12,000 bears in this part of russia. i suspect there will be a slaughter of both men and bear before this is over.

Unfortunately the war between man and bear has been fought before. Some years back I read a fascinating article about how the first war man ever waged was against cave bears that lived in the same caves that early man also desired as habitat. This war is supposedly the longest ever waged by mankind in that it lasted some 30,000+ years in length and resulted in the ultimate eradication of the species. I find it interesting that we as a species now how two different species of bears now hunting us for food. It used to be only the Polar Bear that deliberately sought us out and was recognized as the only species that considered us prey.

in this day of instant information from around the world i am finding an interesting trend in the articles related to nature.

i think the planet is beginning to shrug her shoulders to try to shake off the annoying humans who are abusing her.
