from cnn A majority of Democrats think Barack Obama should select Hillary Clinton as his running mate, according to a new national poll. The poll is the first national survey conducted since Obama became the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Tuesday night.

o rly, barack? do not listen to the so-called majority of democrats.

ms. clinton references the assassination of RFK. i don't think having her on the ticket is a good idea. you might not live to become president. hell, you could be elected then conveniently eliminated as she would then have a lock on the presidency due to succession.

not to mention, the theme of your campaign has been "change". wtf change would there be if she is your vice president? this country will still be run by a clinton.

please, for the love of all that is holy, distance yourself from her.

well, cnn is retarded. well established fact.

anyone thats been listening to Obama knows that he's been rather consistent on 'hell no'. to think otherwise is rather ridiculous.

Obama's only hope to get any sizeable number of "Reagan Democrat" votes is to pound on the war. Even most social conservatives have had it with the war and if he can convince them that McCain is 4 more years of Bush on the subject, he's gold.

The ONE WAY he could screw that up is to run with Clinton. Clinton is an incredibly divisive figure. Reagan Democrats do not like her, they do not like her husband, and they will not vote for her. I don't care what those nutjobs they quote on the news say, nobody who would have voted for Clinton is going to vote for McCain, but a whole lot who might have voted for Obama are not going to vote for a ticket with Clinton on it.

He needs a solid, preferably Southern or Western, moderate Democrat with a good history of live-and-let-live and party compromise. They can't be soft on core issues like choice or social welfare, but they have to be right of Obama on almost every issue, or it's not going to work.

I think Obama should have Edwards as his running mate.

Edwards has already declined. Honestly, he'd make a kick ass Attorney General... as opposed to the fucktards jr has trotted out in teh last 7 years.

there was a time when I would have voted for her. Before there was anyone else in the race. of course, as soon as everyone else jumped in the race, I found a better horse to bet on :p

i have never been inclined to vote for her. demographic of being female or not, she does not represent my views.

when she was THE Democrat running... I would have voted for her. But eventually there were other options and I was happy.

'Cuz currently hell needs to freeze over before I vote outside the Democratic Party.

I was shocked by that "majority of democrats" statement too, mainly because of the way obama and clinton spent months figuratively jabbing at each other. They don't exactly seem like friends, or people who would play well together.

CNN is a bad joke. Theres a reason Obama is the nominee and not Hilary... more people voted for him. ergo, the majority did not vote for her. Traditional media makes me sad.

they definitely would not play well together.

i want to know who constitutes the "majority of democrats". where did this majority make known the sentiment?

Those "opinion polls" always get me. I always want to know who they're polling, how many people (100? 1000?), and from what state? I always assume California or NYC, but that's just because I live far away from there.
